If your employee is experiencing a mental health issue, you must respond in a caring and calm manner. If your employee is in the middle of a mental health crisis and you cannot de-escalate the situation, call emergency support and wait with them until first responders or healthcare providers arrive. Above all, let them know that their feelings are valid and that everything will be okay.

What is a mental awareness course?

Mental health awareness training is a course that helps individuals better understand mental illnesses, the impact of these illnesses, and how to support those experiencing a mental health problem. By providing mental health training, people can learn some early intervention techniques should a mental health crisis occur, be more understanding to peers with a mental health issue, and better promote mental well-being in the workplace.

Who needs workplace mental health awareness learning?

Virtually anyone can learn something from mental health awareness training. However, this course specifically targets those in the workplace, including employees and managers.

What technology do I need to complete the course?

You need a desktop computer, laptop, smartphone, or tablet to complete the course. We recommend using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome for optimal browsing experience. It's important to note that we don't support Windows 7 operating system computers.

How many days do I have to complete the course and exam?

You will have 30 days to complete the course from the date of purchase.

How long does it take to complete the course?

This course takes an average of 90 minutes to complete.

What grade do I need to pass the exam?

You need to achieve an exam score of 70% or higher to pass the exam. You can take unlimited exam retakes within your 30-day course access period if you fail.

How do I receive my Mental Health Awareness certificate?

Within minutes of successfully completing your mental health awareness certificate exam, you will receive your printable digital certificate and wallet card via email.

How long is my Mental Health Awareness certification valid?

Certificates issued are valid for three years from the issue date.

What do I do if I need an extension?

Should an extension be requested, a fee equal to the initial payment or a minimum of $24.98 will apply before any extension is issued. Corporate participants must contact their managers or supervisors for an extension.
