Who needs TDG training?

According to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, any person who handles, offers to transport, or transports dangerous goods must be adequately trained or physically accompanied and under the direct supervision of someone with a TDG certificate.

What are the 9 classes of dangerous goods?

The nine classes of dangerous goods include:

  • Class 1: Explosives
  • Class 2: Gases
  • Class 3: Flammable liquids
  • Class 4: Flammable solids
  • Class 5: Oxidizing substances
  • Class 6: Toxic and infectious substances
  • Class 7: Radioactive materials
  • Class 8: Corrosives
  • Class 9: Miscellaneous dangerous goods

How often should TDG training be done?

TDG certificates expire after three years (36 months). If your TDG certificate is expired, but you are still handling or transporting dangerous goods, register for re-certification training.

How long do students have to complete the course?

Students have 30-day access rights to our online training courses from the date of purchase. The learning program will remember where you left off and take you back to the same point when logging in. Should an extension be requested, a fee equal to the initial payment or a minimum of $24.98 will apply before any extension is issued.

What score do you need to pass the TDG exam?

The minimum passing grade for the TDG exam is 80%.

What happens if you fail the exam?

If you fail your exam, you can retake it without paying any additional fees until you achieve your dangerous goods certificate. Please review the crucial information the course covers before retaking the exam.

How long does it take to receive the TDG certificate?

Students will receive a printable digital certificate and wallet card within minutes of successful exam completion via email download.
